Not everyone knows about Barre, but we wouldn’t dream of opening a fitness studio without it.
Barre incorporates the principles of ballet with small movements and small weights; combined to lengthen, loosen, sculpt and tone your body
In the points below, we'll give you all you need to know about Barre and what to expect from your first class.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear what you are most comfortable in and that you would usually workout in, but make sure it allows for freedom of movement. Socks are also required to be worn. We stock SHASHI socks, which give you a strong grip advantage for any floor-based activity or sport; Barre, Pilates, yoga, and many more.
All classes run for 60 minutes. In this time we will cover a mix of warm-up stretching, core, leg, advanced stretching, and endurance. Will conclude with 10 minutes of light stretching and re-centering.
If you are pregnant, or suspect you might be, please let us know. Your instructor will provide you with alternatives, which will keep you and baby safe, while still giving you a complete workout.
