At ONYX Fitness Studio, your health, safety and security are paramount. We would hate to see you injured, so we will take every reasonable effort to protect you from exactly that.
However, given the gymnastic and aerial nature of Pole Sports; to train at ONYX Fitness Studio you acknowledge, understand, and agree that the activities of Pole Sports are potentially dangerous, and as such, carry inherent risks, including injury.

By completing the below Waiver, you acknowledge, that:

The activities I undertake at ONYX Fitness Studio [ONYX] are of my own free will and are done so at my own risk, therefore it would be unreasonable for ONYX to be responsible in any way for any injury (of any kind) or death.

I hereby waive all legal rights of action against and fully release ONYX, it’s Directors, Instructors, Employees, for the loss, damages or injuries arising out-of or in-relation to the participation by myself in the activities conducted or organised by ONYX; including, without limitation, liability of any negligent act or omission, breach of duty, breach of care or breach of statutory duty on the part of ONYX.

I confirm that I alone assume the risk of, and the responsibility for, any injury resulting from my participation in my activities. I participate in activities at my sole risk and responsibility and release, indemnify and hold harmless ONYX.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy is very simple and we believe, very fair. This policy allows other students to take that spot in the class. If you need to cancel a class or personal training session for any reason, we understand, but require at least 4-hours notice.

If you need to, you can cancel your booking with no charge or loss of class credit (with reasonable notice).

To cancel, please open the MINDBODY app and cancel your booking online.

You can also call or message us and we will look after it for you.

If you book a spot in the class but don’t attend, or cancel within Four (4) hours of the class start time, you will be charged a Late Cancel penalty of $10 for the class, which will be applied to your account.

We would MUCH rather see if you in the Studio, but if you can’t make it PLEASE do let us know! :)


Please do not attempt any skill or move that you are unsure of and do not attempt anything beyond your ability or comfort level.

Reading and understanding these rules and the completing the Personal Liability Waiver is required before any student can take any class.

  1. Please arrive on time. We highly recommend coming to class 5-10 minutes early.

  2. Students arriving late must quietly enter and warm up completely.

  3. Do not use body lotion one day prior to pole class. Body lotion makes the pole slippery and increases the risk that you may get hurt.

  4. Students MUST remove ALL jewelry before class. This is mandatory because it will damage the equipment.

  5. All students must follow the instructor’s guidelines.

  6. Please secure your personal belongings.The studio owner or instructors are not responsible for lost or stolen property.

  7. Immediately notify your instructor of any injury or illness.

  8. Do not consume any drugs or alcohol prior to or during class.

  9. Smoking is not allowed in the studio.

  10. No pets allowed.

  11. No unpaid guests or observers are allowed.

  12. Do not bring open containers of liquid. All bottles of water/drinks must have a secure lid and be kept closed when not in use.

  13. Videotaping and photography of yourself is allowed and encouraged.

  14. Videotaping and photography of instructors or other students is strictly prohibited unless explicit permission is given.

Fees and charges

We have EFTPOS facilities at reception, however we cannot guarantee you a spot if you have not booked in advance.

Please note that when booking/paying through MindBODY, 'Ezidebit' will appear on your bank statement.

If there are insufficient funds you will be contacted to rectify and Ezidebit will charge a dishonour fee of $14.95 the next day to your credit card. Alternative arrangements can be made by contacting us directly.
